AI intake for substance use treatment programs.

Every call answered immediately, insurance checked, and crisis language routed straight to your staff.

Why intake is different here

An unanswered call may not come back.

People in active help-seeking often contact several providers at once. An immediate response reaches them before they reach another provider, or stop trying.

After-hours capture

94%

Of after-hours inquiries captured across BHSAI partner practices.

Time to first session

3.4× faster

Compared with manual intake, across partner practices.

Confidentiality

HIPAA and 42 CFR Part 2.

Records from federally assisted substance use disorder programs are protected by 42 CFR Part 2, in addition to HIPAA. Programs had to comply with the updated rule by February 16, 2026.

We sign a Business Associate Agreement before discovery begins, and identify whether Part 2 applies to your records.

What the AI never does

  • Assess, diagnose, or recommend a level of care
  • Provide therapeutic responses
  • Access or summarize clinical notes
  • Try to manage a crisis instead of routing it to a person
Common questions

For substance use treatment programs.

How does BHSAI handle 42 CFR Part 2? +
We identify whether Part 2 applies to your records during discovery, and design the workflow around it. A Business Associate Agreement is signed first.
What happens if a caller is in crisis? +
Crisis language triggers an immediate escalation path you define with us, such as a warm transfer to on-call staff and crisis line information.
Does the AI decide what level of care someone needs? +
No. Assessment, diagnosis, and treatment recommendations stay with your clinical team.
